Verify who you are dealing with
When you contact a landlord through Zigo Spaces, confirm their name and relationship to the property. Be cautious if someone is unwilling to confirm their authority to rent the home.
Be cautious with payment requests
Never transfer money to someone you have not verified. Be especially careful of requests to pay before viewing a property, pressure to send money quickly, or payment to personal accounts instead of the landlord you confirmed.
Confirm terms before transferring money
Agree rent, deposit, service charges and move-in date in writing before payment. Keep a record of what was agreed.
Report anything concerning
If a listing looks incorrect or a landlord behaves suspiciously, use the report option on the listing so Zigo Spaces can review it.
